Now i've read that the locals are allowed in on the grounds from friday morning until monday, and beacuse of this the resort gets crowded and crazy is this true? Because I was going to book this resort but if this is true i might pay the extra money for Dreams. I'm just curious????? Well then don't come to New York! If you are a destination expert, why don't you understand the problem is overcrowding at the resort?
You seem to be eager to take offense because someone used the word "locals". Your reply is not helpful. I am so tired of this topic. Maybe it should read "I hear they allow touists into the resorts in the Dominican Republic. YES they do speak Spanish it is after all thier native language and believe it or not the officail language of the country.
Yes they can at times be loud and obnoxious just like the invading Canadians, Americans and Brits and students can be at times. YES if you don't want to meet, see or have to interact with a Dominican maybe you should vacation in your home country.
If they sell all the rooms, the crowd size is no different if it is locals or visitors from other countries. So don't try the overcrowding lint. It is insulting that people bash the resorts for selling rooms to the locals who pay in many cases higher prices for the same rooms.
For your first post to try to defend people from discriminating against locals who pay good money for their legitimate right to a vacation is not helpful. Dominican citizens are not given the same priviledge of traveling anywhere in the world as you and I can. For them a visa to America or Europe is in most cases unattainable.
